Rig construction, Atwood Oceanics, Singapore-2012
OGRE played an integral role that ensured on time delivery of two semi-submersible drilling units, the Atwood Osprey and the Atwood Condor during 2012.
Both rigs are Friede & Goldman Ex-D Millennium Class vessels and constructed in the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore.
From the outset of the project OGRE supplied a majority of the project team including; Construction Manager, Naval Architect, Electrical, Mechanical & Piping Project Engineers, multi-disciplined quality assurance and quality control Inspectors, document control and administration staff.
OGRE's multi-disciplined Project Engineers were responsible for developing the detailed design, installation, test & commissioning of all respective systems on the vessels in accordance with the construction specification, flag state and certifying authority requirements.
The quality assurance and quality control Inspectors ensured compliance with the construction specifications to meet delivery dates and budget for the vessels.
